3D Printer in our STEM classroom
We have a wonderful 3D printer. A 3D printer creates three-dimensional objects, for example, a lego piece, a dinosaur, or a Baby Yoda doll.
In 3D printing objects are created by adding or depositing layers of material, not subtracting or cutting out pieces from a block of material. These two videos show our 3D printer at work creating objects.
Younger students will be exposed to 3D printing, as they learn the real world applications of 3D printing.
Older students, learn to design using the engineering process in CAD (computer aided design) and print their designs in our 3D printer.
